Relocation
Relocating to Northern Indiana
I grew up in a military family and moved often, so I know what it feels like to land somewhere new. I'd love to make your move here feel a little easier.
01How I help
How I help people move here
Moving from out of the area comes with a lot of unknowns. Which town fits? How far is the drive to work? Is lake living realistic year-round? My job is to answer those questions plainly and help you make good decisions without having to be here every weekend.

As a relocation specialist with The Cavender Team at eXp Realty, I help people move to Warsaw, the Kosciusko County lakes, South Bend and the towns in between. I handle the details so you can focus on your family and your new start.
Looking for a lake place from the Chicago area or Indianapolis? Here's how I help out-of-area lake buyers.
02How a long-distance move works with me
Five simple steps
- 01
A first conversation
We talk about your anchors — work, family, how you want your days to feel — and your timeline. No pressure, just getting the lay of the land.
- 02
Learning the area from afar
I share honest, local input on the towns and lakes that fit, and point you to my Living in… guides so you can explore on your own time.
- 03
Touring, in person or on video
If you can visit, I'll plan an efficient trip. If you can't, I'll walk homes for you on video and tell you what I see — the good and the not-so-good.
- 04
Offer and the details
When you find the one, I'll help you write a strong offer and handle inspections, appraisal and paperwork, keeping you updated wherever you are.
- 05
Closing and settling in
I'll coordinate the timing so closing lines up with your move, and I'm happy to connect you with trusted people for the pieces outside real estate.
03Why I get it
What moving this much taught me
I grew up in a military family and moved every few years as a child, then several more times as an adult. I've bought and sold homes in two states, and my husband — an Army veteran — and I have used the VA loan ourselves. I'm a military spouse from a military family, not a veteran myself, but the moving boxes are familiar.
All of that taught me how to learn a new area fast, what questions people forget to ask, and how unsettling the in-between can feel. So when you're relocating, you're working with someone who has been the new person plenty of times — and remembers exactly what helped.
